The transmission of healthcare information or strategies to a specified medical care population or public health to promote education about related evidence-based activities is known as dissemination (Jung, 2021). The first dissemination strategy I would apply is publications in peer-reviewed articles. One of the advantages of using peer-reviewed publications is that they are subjected to a thorough evaluation by other specialists in the area before publication. Another tool I will employ is a poster depiction. A poster depiction is a form of focused, direct, and specific communication method to reach a more significant number of people at a specific moment (Naseem et al., 2021). This is useful since I can develop a poster about using personal protective equipment and help individuals put and discard them after usage to educate the public about the preventative steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This can be accomplished using social media sites like Facebook, newspapers, and televisions. Due to the current pandemic, I will be less inclined to use oral podium speeches and community outreach. People may be hesitant to attend for fear of getting the coronavirus, as well as government limitations on public meetings and mobility.
Publication in a peer-reviewed journal has drawbacks. Foremost, there is a lack of time constraints to share and follow publication, given that I am a nurse with full-time responsibilities at the hospital. Second, finding someone with whom to integrate and do a survey is challenging. Furthermore, it takes about four years for journal publications. To overcome the obstacles, I will take additional time to review my publications by assigning different responsibilities to my coworkers (Sullivan et al., 2018).
Posters cannot be amended once published; therefore, they are not very flexible. This requires the creator to be more vigilant in ensuring that they are reviewed to propagate the evidence-based approach for which they were created. In comparison to posts on social media containing links, the audience must make efforts to intervene. This motivates me to improve my reporting by elaborating on the poster’s finer elements so that the viewers may comprehend it.
